EZ Tadpole Trike
Dave Krafft showed a new EZ tadpole trike. It was lucky he had one available tonight, since Edina Bike has been selling them about as fast as they can get them due to their decent componentry at a very good price of $1,199. Most people who tried it in the parking lot liked its comfort and handling. It is a little heavy at about 45 pounds, but that isn't too bad, especially at this price. It has front disk brakes only (though mounting bosses are provided at the rear too), and both levers have a parking brake detent.

Both the seat and the boom are adjustable, so it should be possible to dial in not only the right leg length but also the optimum weight distribution for handling. Mark and Carl couldn't agree on what that should be, or how it should differ between tadpole and delta trikes (surprise!), but whatever it is an owner should be able to get close to it.

The underseat handlebars also have multiple adjustments for various rider hip widths and preferred hand positions. Dave would prefer a little greater maximum steering angle, but that rarely becomes an issue in normal riding.

Sun builds this trike in two grades of steel differing by about five pounds in weight, and they will probably come out with an aluminum version fairly soon as they have with several of their other bikes. They offer a fender set if desired. It has a nice stiff frame with almost no boom flex or pedal steer effect.
