Mark Stonich's Raleigh Recumbent
Mark added a big braze-on lug for mounting a kickstand, a necessity on a tour where they stop frequently for almost every scenic overlook, bakery, or pub that comes along! The kickstand contacts the ground so far outboard of the tires, and the bike's CoG is so low, that the bike can be tilted a ridiculous amount, without fallong over.
He hopes to have it painted by this year's tour. It will keep the black color most of the old frame had, in keeping with the chosen nickname of The Black Hole (in honor of its obscene weight, which could well be enough to warp the surrounding space-time fabric!).
