Jon was clearly serious about doing this, since he took a hacksaw to the right chainstay (with only a few reservations) in order to put a big jog in it to clear the revised chain line. He says the tension spring system has worked fine so far, though he has only ridden it about 10 miles to date (Dave said he has gone through three springs so far in 250 miles, and following Murphy's Law they always fail at the most inconvenient time and place!). The chain is 1 1/3 BMX chains in 1/8 inch width.
