Jeff Caswell's New MicroBike Project

Jeff Caswell brought some of the latest bits and pieces for his production MicroBikes. He is building three in the first trial run, two for customers and one for himself. He was excited about the frame building jig he has built, but it is too bulky and heavy to bring to a meeting.

Jeff hopes to start TIG welding frame pieces with his new welder very soon, with a goal of having a complete bike by mid Summer. He plans to sand blast the tubes before welding, then will rinse them with vinegar in order to be less toxic and more earth friendly (assuming vinegar actually works). Vic Kelmanson, who is a Pulmonologist, pointed out that abrasive dusts are often more harmful than chemical fumes.
