Jeff Caswell's New MicroBike Project

Jeff bought a really light and pretty carbon fiber seat from Power-On Cycles in Florida, though he doesn't yet know who actually made it. It weighs just 1.5 pounds and is actually stronger than the fiberglass version that is a pound heavier. It costs $265 in carbon and $135 in fiberglass. It has more pronounced side wings than most molded seats, and a tall narrow angled upper section. Dave Krafft recommended that he cut off the upper section, and replace with an adjustable head rest. This is because of the difficulty of fitting a molded seat to one user, let alone multiple customers.

The seat mount will use a modified drum set clamp that fits right onto his 1.5 inch frame backbone tube. (seen in previous photo)
