Jon's Windcheetah
Jon Sharratt showed his new (to him) Windcheetah trike. It is about ten years old, so it was built by the original designer Mike Burroughs rather than the later company of Bob Dixon. He bought it off of eBay from a guy in California who had apparently only ridden it once in a while on beach paths, because it is clearly a low mileage example despite being ten years old.
Steering is by a joystick that pivots on a plastic u-joint on the bottom that facilitates getting on and off the trike and also cornering when you have to lean into the turn and take the joystick with you. He says it is one very fast and agile trike and can take turns surprisingly fast without getting up on two wheels, especially since it actually has a rather narrow track.
