The Berkut has loads of custom machined titanium parts, since the builders were in the Russian helicopter industry and probably got some materials and machine tool time “free”.

Despite being a rather large trike (it took a lot of careful fiddling to get it in the building at an angle) with lots of mechanical bits and a large sheet metal seat Mike thinks it only weighs about 35 pounds.
