When 8" of heavy snow fell on Friday, Dave's tractor fried a relay trying to move it. So for the 1st time in 14 years, weather conditions prevented holding the event on Saturday. About 30 people showed up on Saturday to clear the course with shovels, snowthrowers, and eventually another tractor.

Prior to the snow storm, lakes in the area had been covered with about 1/2" of snow, followed by freezing rain. This gave great traction for the "Rubber Only" machines, but put anything with skates at a disadvantage, as there was no bare ice.
