Mark Stonich's Dummy Headset Spacers

Mark showed a temporary headset dummy, used as a surrogate for a headset when building a frame that isn't ready to take an actual headset yet. It slips into the head tube and clamps onto the fork with a quick release seat post clamp. Its dimensions mimic the most common lower stack heights for a headset.

These are his first "Bikesmith Design" product. He machines them very painstakingly in his basement, on a puny lathe with a small cutting depth per pass. But he has only had to make about ten of them in the last six months.

If you're interested, they sell for $39 from his website.
