Midwest Recumbent Rally

Tom Porter came with a homebuilt 22 lb. high racer that has rear suspension. He has made a habit of building steel bikes with the smallest and thinnest wall tubing he can get away with, though Mark feels he is pushing the boundaries a bit too much with this one.

Some of Tom's bikes have been a source of inspiration to me. I look at them and say "You can get away with that????", then go home and make my next frame lighter than the one before. This one shows lots of good weight saving tricks, but IMHO should have had a bit more beef in the tiny main tube. Tom is a BIG strong rider, and this bike looks a little squirmy going down the road.
