Carl Gulbronson came in with his own box, this one containing a new crankset from Spain that he just ordered to see how well they really work. He got titanium spindle 180's for himself, but the one he brought in for us to look over is a steel spindle 175 mm crank with 26-39-55 triple chainrings (which Mark thinks will take some carefully installed wide range derailleurs to handle).

With the recent decline of the dollar relative to the Euro they cost about $800, so they had better be good! We unpacked the box and passed the main pieces around. It comes with English instructions from the US distributor, including an added sheet explaining how to install it on a recumbent. Wedgie or recumbent, the key is to determine the angle of maximum pedal extension in your usual riding position, then align the fixed part of the bottom bracket mechanism accordingly.
