451 mm Tires
Hudyn HPV Slick 32-451 (20×1 1/4) 6 bar (90 psi) 325 g $20 (slick, brown wall, a very rare, high quality 451mm tyre, the highest quality 451mm tyre available. These are no longer in production and were among the last bicycle tyres produced in USA) Z.K.
PS I’m still hoarding 4 of these. Nice rear tire for a “Low Racer”. M.S.
IRC Roadlite 28-451 (20×1 1/8) 7 bar (100 psi) 205 g $15 (fine herringbone tread pattern with smooth centre ridge, tan wall, made in Japan by Inoue Rubber Company, Ltd.) ZK
Primo Comet 37-451 (20x 1 3/8) 6 bar (85 psi) 271.7- 276.9 g $21(smooth herringbone tread pattern, tan wall, made by Cheng Shin in Taiwan) Z.K.
Primo Comet Kevlar 37-451 (20x 1 3/8) 6 bar (85 psi) smooth herringbone tread pattern, tan wall, made by Cheng Shin in Taiwan
Primo Comet 26-451 (20x 1 1/8) 100 psi (smooth herringbone tread pattern, tan wall, made by Cheng Shin in Taiwan) Z.K.
Mitsuboshi Comp III or Tioga Comp III (same tire, different label) (20x 1 3/8) 6 bar A well made BMX knobby with small knobs. Good winter tire. Rolls reasonably well on dry pavement, with very good flat resistance. IMHO a better choice than a street tire with a Mr. Tuffy. Source, BMX shops everywhere. M.S.

I can’t find their 1998 catalog, but over the last few years, Sun has produced 451 versions of their M13L M13II, 17L, M17A, L20, CR16, CR18 and CR20 rims. I’ve used most of them with good results. M.S.
